About me

Jedrzej Wojciechowski

Born in Warsaw, Poland, 6 years before the fall of communist goverment, I was raised in a country that was rediscovering Jewish part of it’s history, something that wouldn’t be a part of public dispute for decades since World War Two. That topic quickly became dear to my heart, and was always with me in some way. That’s why when I became a tour guide, it was obvious what I want to do - I wanted to focus on Jewish history in Poland, and on the education about the Holocaust.

Over the last decade I have visited several places of darkness, and many places of beauty. I have heard Holocaust Survivors as well as Righteous Among The Nations speak - and I was able to tell their stories to others. I have taken part in meetings with active Jewish Communities - and workshops with Polish students, only learning that half of their small town used to be full of people who are not present there anymore.

After moving to Berlin, I continue to guide tours, that show both history of Jewish people in this town, as well as places where their suffering was being planned and executed.
